Stranger..!

June 27th is definitely going to be one of those days; I will never forget. Since, this was after a long time i felt i had a hearty laugh. Well, the occasion was my friends engagement. This is definitely not what i had laughed for... There are sometimes rather many a times when we land up in a party or some kind of celebrations, where of all the people present you seem know just two. Well, that was my situation today.
Looking like, i landed in midst of a bunch of people who knew each other for years; but, they dint let me feel like i was anyhow stranger to them.
As I had entered the hall, I was greeted by my friend and then her other old buddies, some HI's and Hello's. Then, I took my seat with them. After, this what had happened was a laughter riot which i do not think i will ever forget..
The people here were ( Giri, Avinash, Janardhan, Sirisha, Anand, Sandeep, Vamsi, Siri...). I have never personally or remotely have never been in contact with these people expect sirisha who happens to be my college friend. They spoke about themselves and pulled each others leg. Some introduced each other in a way u couldn't help smiling about. And as many more joined in, we were a huge group at the back of the hall making a racket. Thanks, to my friends parents who took it very sportingly and dint feel the need to keep us quiet.
Sometimes, seldom we expect from strangers to make our day memorable. Definitely, if we are ready to mingle and let ourselves free for others to reach us. Everyday is memorable.
I really want to thank all of them by heart, for making my day absolutely wonderful and a very special one...
/// though my jaws and sides pinching out of tiredness, I'm happy to feel this pain///
As of, if someone reading this wonders what were the jokes about. I apologize for not mentioning them as they were spontaneous and of all i don't remember what most of the jokes started with or ended with. Sometimes some things and feelings can't be summarized or justified in writing completely, they are meant to be just felt about, this day was one such of those.

The English Craze

Everyone around here wants to converse in English.
Much like the phrase "Walk English, Talk English.."
Some of them desperately hanging on to be the ENGLISH end up being the
funny bone to others. Anyone wondering to join a laughter club, can prefer to spend an hour with
such a person and stomach wrenching laughter riot is assured.

what's in a name??

Many of us wonder, "what's in a name?".. but, ask this question to a person having been blessed with a loooonnnng name... And a equally tough spelling.
I always have preferred that my name be spelt right. So, the moment i realize that my name is being written, i've chosen to spell it to them.
There are incidents such as when i was 10 years old or something;
Principal: " What's your name?"
me: huh..
Dad: "Abinandana"
Principal:"ABHINANDAN" Cute boy...!"
Dad: "oh no.. girl abinandana.."
(Me staring in at him.."crazy bugger cant see the frock??" Jus a boy cut and a name turns you into a boy..!!!" Oh boy..)
In school, i had the unfortune of having two classmates and of all boys with "abhi" as their names in shorter version, now, there is this cricket match being played in the ground and "abhi" is being called upon.. though its not me, but, I'm told that I was summoned to the ground.
I go running to find out that not abinandana bt, abhishek was needed.. hahaha... Tragedy..
During college days.. to avoid the trouble of being called by my full name i kept it to "abi" again; people felt the need to correct me by spelling it as "abhi" not "abi".
when i insist, they ask me how come so???
Now, its been so for 20 odd years and it will continue to be so...
Thanks, to some people who managed to call me "abinandana" completely, before i could run off..
Well, this privilege has been of those who have taught(teachers, professors, lecturers) me all these years..
If thats not all, people sometimes, even chose to call me by my surname which im not accustomed to hear at all being called by...
For all, that I have chosen to write about this is that, there are few other tortured souls like me who have been in a soup due to their long names; compared to others short and crisp one's
well, all the trouble is worth it coz, that's what we have lived with and will continue to be known with..
proud to have such a name...

whats on your mind??

We all have once in a while written exams, for some of us these seem to be there all around the year and every week ends with one, rather than a weekend.. hmm.. well, if we are distressed with exams. Ever wondered what an examiner might be thinking...
Examiner 1:
" AAh, here come the dumb, dumber and dumbest..
God, Why was i The Chosen One to teach and evaluate them, sometimes it makes me wonder that who am i testing?? Myself or them?"

Examiner 2: "Here comes the potential goat lumbering; ready to go under the knife..
All they do is go bumping around, first the door "ouch", now, the bench"oof", and now the paper... hahaha"

Examiner 3: " This time i have vowed that nobody clears my paper,muahahha... "welcome to the hell"..

while correcting the paper:

Examiner 1: Q1. what is 1+1=?
Ans(student 1) 2 ... "right thank god"
student 2: 11... "wt the heck, this git will never change"
student 3: blank.. "now, that's better"
student 4: pto... "to where????"

well, this is just the start... by the end of evalution what is left is a gleaming potential cricket pitch on the head of the evaluator... hahaha..:)
we hate them or love them exams are bound to be with us forever.
we get inventive and creative with each question posed to us... making it a more of a test to the one who taught us than to us..
njoy writing... tip tip...
